Everyman Works is the culmination of two minds, Michael and Alexandra Miller who share a love of good design and humor. We met at Central School of Art and Design in London and travelled in Europe, Japan and the USA designing and selling prints for apparel fabrics before moving permanently to New York. Our designs have been used for packaging, illustration, interior decor, textiles and theatre.

After moving to Brooklyn, Michael began designing and building cabinets and bookcases for clients in Brooklyn brownstones and eventually changed careers as he became a skilled carpenter.

Everyman Works is our first venture into handcrafted furniture and began with an idea to rescue the humble side table from obscurity and reimagine it with imagery and wit. We have designed small items to fit easily beside a sofa, chair, bed, or nestled in a corner while larger pieces require more space and offer the opportunity to make a statement.
